First of all my I just say, I have nothing but respect for Bill Kenwright the owner of my beloved club Everton FC.
Now let's get started. I hear rumours of a protest being made by these blue union people before the Aston Villa game 10/09/2011, what a gang of fucking idiots. You are protesting over the current chairman and the way our club is run. Let's not forget how this current chairman rescued us from certain destruction under Peter Johnson. Bill Kenwright saved us. And what he is doing now by not selling our club to any Tom dick or Harry that puts a bid in, is also doing the same.
I like you am frustrated at the lack of money we spend, the lack of signings we make and just the general disappointment over transfers, needless to say I have complete faith in Kenwright and Moyes.
Cast your minds back to a few months ago when the redshite(RS) got taken over by Mr Hicks & Mr Gilette. What a joyful time for all us Evertonians, I must admit seeing the RS getting fucked over from forces with in gave me a endless amour of joy, which many of you blue union people enjoyed too.
Now imagine if the shoe was on the other foot. What would have happened to Everton FC had these two people got hold of our club? Bill kenwright is holding out for somebody who has the clubs best intrests at the heart. It would kill Bill Kenwright just as much, maybe even more, if we are sold and fucked about. Now obviously due to the lack of investment this is not as easy as it sounds. Mr Kenwright in my eyes is doing the right thing for our club not selling to the first bidder. If the before mentioned Mr Hicks & Mr Gilette did take over Everton Football Club and did to us what they did to the RS, do you honestly think Everton Football Club would still exsist? I think not.
On the transfer deadline day we lost a big player to our club, but did we really? Now I'm not saying Arteta is a terrible Player he's far from it. But over the last 2 seasons he has been a mere shadow of his best. Now look at the deal we got £10million for a Player aged 29 and not in his beat condition or form of his life. Granted he may return to form but even so, we have had the use of an excellent player for the last 6 and a half years and undoubltey got the best out of him over at least 4 of the 6 and a half years. We Have made an £8 million profit on his original purchase and look at the wages we are saving each week £75k. That's just shy of £4million a year.
As for the sales of Beckford and Yakubu they speak for themselves. Beckford scored 10 goals last season but that was flattering for a player of his standard and quality. He had some good games but the majority of his play is lower league quality. Beckford gives up to easily, doesn't have much strength and never seems to be able to control the ball properly. Yakubu on the other hand was near his end, we should of sold him to West Ham United in the summer and got some of the massive transfer fee we paid for him, sadly we didn't.
The yakubu case baffles me, he had a good start to the season just gone & probably his best game for Everton against the RS. He didn't score but played out of his skin, full of movement. The next week at Blackpool he sets up Tim Cahill to scored, gets subbed and never plays again for us, all very strange. But after this selling him in the window was the right thing to do. We have got rid of 3 players off our wage bill, also knocked off £15.5 million off our debt. A good bit of business, I'd say
The new signing albeit loan signings will have to try and make a name for themselves in the premier league, and I have optimism for both. Drenthe looks a quality player, given the right coaching could turn into on of our better players. Denis, although I've only seen a couple of YouTube clips, he looks like a decent striker. He's a big lad who looks good in the air and on the floor. I think Denis will be menacing(poor, I know) defence's of the Premier League after a couple of games to settle in. A derby day winner would be a treat, just like the man himself Mr Ferguson.
Now ask yourself this after reading the article, do you really want bill to sell us to the next buyer? With the risk of us turning into the next Leeds United or Portsmouth. Take a good long look at our situation, things could be a million times worse Leeds & Portsmouth for example. We aren't going to get bought out by an Arab like City, or an American billionaire like the RS . We are Everton Football Club and until the board changes we need to get behind the team and the board.
Look at united's protests about the Glazers where did that get them??????
